Dirt racing, on the other hand, feels more natural, with a far gentler learning curve. This embarrassing attempt at making the game cool makes everyone in the story, including your character, seem like a vain, personality-free poser who cares more about the colour of their shoes than the health of whoever was driving the car they ploughed into a few moments earlier.

Outside of the driving everything is painfully wooden. Everyone, including the poor sods that have to stand around looking cool at driving schools, is essentially a shop-window mannequin brought to life, reading from a script that would have been looked down upon by the writers of Saved by the Bell.

Sadly, some of this unbearable posing makes its way into the online component of TDU2, which is tightly woven into the core experience. For some, it seems as though they alter their personality to match their hideous in-game avatars. A big chunk of your level progression is reserved for online interaction, which is a shame as playing solo was generally a lot more fun. Setting up an in-game clubhouse and making friends with people all adds to your rank, while competing online, either directly against others in race events or in custom-made competitions, gradually contributes to your overall score.

Accompanying you on your journey around the islands is music from two radio stations, and while tracks are easily changeable on the fly the music starts to repeat very quickly. There are some reasonably big names on the soundtrack, including Deadmau5 and Ellie Goulding, but much is forgettable. I'm not playing right now and can't remember the exact way to get there, but in the pause menu there is a way to select all kinds of things as your objective.

I came second in the B4 championship and the objective auto changed to the A7 championship, so I had to maunally change it back to the B4 to try again. Racing is repetitive by default, i mean, is a circuit where you drive agaisnt other drivers, there isn't anything else about it, but TDU2 cups and championships weren't only about races, there were speedtraps, time attacks, races and up to 6 types of trials so i find them hardly repetitive. If I will unpack the game I still be able to play it online?

Or I can apply the retail version of Unofficial Patch v0. I have Steam version and use this patch with no issues. Steam launcher will "re-pack" the game and that won't allow the patch to work With the Universal Launcher you can choose to launch game online or offline, it will work fine either way! Problem with the Solar Crown races is that you can win with 20 or even 30 sec advantage. The Ai is not challenging at all. A better Ai or adaptive Ai would have been much better. Than everybody gets a challenge that match your skills. Now they are way too easy. Well, you're right about that, but i still had fun with them not nowadays since i'm redoing those races only for the sake of grinding The problem is the prize, Well, at least i can redo those races with the Unnoficial Patch cars, that makes some difference : the Chrisler is really fun to drive.

If there were some way to redo the cups ENTIRELY and winning the whole prizes, it would be easier the exe swap trick didn't work, it only allowed me to replay the gold bomb missions.
